Course Information

1. 過去にJLP（4月からJLE）の授業を履修し単位を修得した人は、次の学期に一つ上のレベルの授業を履修します。例えば、秋学期にJ2レベルだった人は、春学期はJ3レベルになります。
   If you have already taken JLP（JLE from April） courses in the past, you will be able to take one-level higher classes next semester. For instance, if you were J2-level in the fall semester, you will join the J3-level classes in the spring semester.

   まずは、自身が履修した科目が修得できているか、情報システムから成績を確認してください。
   First, please check your grades from the Information Portal to see if you have earned the credits for the courses you took in the past semester.

   もし、科目を修得できていない場合は、春学期に一つ上のレベルを履修することになるか確認が必要です。コースガイドに記載の担当の教員へご自身のレベルについて相談してください。
   If you have not completed the courses, you will need to check to see if you will be required to take one-level higher in the spring semester. Please consult with your instructor listed in the attached course guide regarding your level.
   
   

2. 初めてJLE（旧JLP）を履修する人、また、前回の履修から1年以上JLE（旧JLP）を履修していない学生は、レベルを分けるために、必ずプレイスメントテストを受けてください。受験の期限は3月25日（月）です。受験番号は学生証番号を入力してください。
   Students who plan to take the JLE courses for the first time next semester, and students who have not taken the JLE courses for more than one year, must first take the Placement Test to confirm your Japanese proficiency.　Fill out the Online JLE Placement Test from the link below by Monday, March 25, 2024.

3. JLEコースガイドは日本語レベルごとに書かれています。自分のレベルのページを読んで、そこからクラスを選んでください。科目名と授業コードは2024年春学期から新しくなりました。旧科目を履修した学生は、対応する新科目を履修することはできませんので、コースガイドのP.11~12にある新旧科目対比表をよく確認しておいてください。
   　 JLE Course Guide is divided into 7 levels according to the Japanese proficiency. Please go over your own assigned-level pages, and select proposed JLE classes that match your level. Please be advised that information such as Course Titles and Class Codes for JLE classes have been renewed from 2024 Spring. You need to check the Comparison Table listed on P11-12 in the Course Guide beforehand carefully, since you are NOT allowed to once again take the corresponding courses which you completed before, though they have totally new class information for JLE instead of JLP.

5. 授業開始前に履修科目についてJLE教員と相談したい場合は、4月5日(金)11：00～12：00にオンラインで相談することができます。予約は必要ありません。
   　　If you need assistance to select the classes, please feel free to join the Virtual Office Hour by JLE-teaching staff at 11am-12pm, on April 5, 2024.　No reservation is required.

   Based on the results of the Japanese Language Education Online Placement Test, you will be informed of your JLE level.
   Please select courses based on the results of the placement test. If you wish to take a course different from the one assigned to you, please consult with your instructor by April 20. No other permission will be granted.
