Dear GBP students,

４月からの日本語教育センターについてご案内します。
We are pleased to inform you about the JLE course starting in Spring.

JLEでは今（春）期も初級から上級までいろいろな日本語・日本文化のクラスをみなさんに提供します。
JLE offers various language and culture courses this Spring semester as well.

JLE科目を履修したい人は、以下の点に注意して準備をしてください。
If you wish to take JLE courses, please read the following carefully:

（１）過去にJLEの授業を履修し単位を修得した人は、次の学期に一つ上のレベルの授業を履修します。今（春）期のレベルは改めて通知しますので、メールを確認してください。例えば、秋学期にJ2レベルだった人は、春学期はJ3レベルになります。
If you have already taken JLE courses in the past, you will be able to take one-level higher classes next semester.

Levels in the Spring semester will be notified soon. Please check your email.

For instance, if you were J2-level in the Fall semester, you will join the J3-level classes in the Spring semester.

（２）初めてJLEを履修する人、また、前回の履修から1年以上JLEを履修していない学生は、レベルを分けるために、必ずプレイスメントテストを受けてください。受験の期限は3月22日（土）です。受験番号は学生証番号を入力してください。

Students who plan to take the JLE courses for the first time next semester, and students who have not taken the JLE courses for more than one year, must first take the Placement Test to confirm your Japanese proficiency.

Fill out the Online JLE Placement Test from the link below by Saturday, March 22, 2025.

（３）JLEコースガイドは日本語レベルごとに書かれています。自分のレベルのページを読んで、そこからクラスを選んでください。科目名と授業コードは2024年春学期から新しくなりました。旧科目を履修した学生は、対応する新科目を履修することはできませんので、コースガイドP.11~12にある新旧科目対比表をよく確認しておいてください。

JLE Course Guide is divided into 7 levels according to the Japanese proficiency.

Please go over your own assigned-level pages, and select proposed JLE classes that match your level.

Please be advised that information such as Course Titles and Class Codes for JLE classes have been renewed from 2024 Spring.

You need to check the Comparison Table listed on P11-12 in the Course Guide beforehand carefully, since you are NOT allowed to once again take the corresponding courses which you completed before, though they have totally new class information for JLE instead of JLP.

（５）授業開始前に履修科目についてJLE教員と相談したい場合は、4月3日(木)12：00～13：00にオンラインで相談することができます。予約は必要ありません。
If you need assistance to select the classes, please feel free to join the Virtual Office Hour by JLE-teaching staff at 12：00pm-13：00pm, on April 3, 2025. No reservation is required.

（６）JLEのGoogle Classroomへ入室していない方は、下記URLからコードを入力して登録してください。
If you have not joined the JLE Google Classroom yet, please register from the following URL with the code.
